Six Degrees is an ensemble of seven highly experienced musicians with a committed track record of performance of new music. Justine Anderson, Melissa Doecke, Jennifer Enchelmaier, Tonie Field, Phoebe Green, Zac Johnson, Peter Neville are members of such diverse group as Atticus, Elision, Melbourne Guitar Quartet, Arcko, Jouissance, Emotionworks Opera, David Chesworth Ensemble and Speak Percussion. Six Degrees has at its core is a commitment to promoting and premiering Australian works by placing them in a context of important, but less well known and performed International new music. The groups combination of instruments include guitar, mandolin, piano, percussion, viola, violin, flute and female voice and aim to create a distinctive stylistic niche unique in Victoria. We promote and premiere Australian works alongside important repertoire from the canon of 20th and 21st century works.
